2018-10-16   Zero Food Waste Competition cum World Food Day

Held annually on October 16, World Food Day is a day of action dedicated to tackle global hunger. People from around the world come together on this day to declare their commitment to eradicate worldwide hunger from our lifetime.

To promote green living among students and raise their awareness about the problem of food wastage, the Guidance and Counselling Team organized a “Zero Food Waste Competition” for S1 students on October 16. To take part in the competition, all S1 students must make an effort to finish up their lunch with as little leftover food as possible. Finally, Class 1M ended up with no leftover food, and they became the champion. Congratulations to Class 1M!

We hope our students will get into the habit of saving food and continue to practise green living in their everyday life.
